I read a really cool story in the SFCronicle about a new trend that bartenders are participating in. Gardening! Although there is a growing trend of backyard and kitchen gardeners, bartenders say that it’s not about saving money but rather being able to put something unique on their menus as well as the pride of being able to say that the ingredients are freshly grown by them.

Drinks like Sageriffic, are increasing in popularity and it doesn’t stop with herbs either. Some are growing fruit trees, and tending vegetables as well. It’s just another example of why you might want to grow your own herb garden. Be unique and standout from the crowd!

You can find the whole story here.
